It would have been perfect if you could throw your own SSD or 3TB 2.5 in the base model as needed. It's an SSHD with a proprietary connector. The only catch is that even though the physical slot exists on both models you can't add an internal drive later on. If you don't plan on installing local media/games, yeah you'll be fine. It eliminates the potential Android external storage permission issues.
